Rose Music Hall Candy Cane Crib Lighting
this First Friday at 6:30!

The most wonderful time of the year just got even more wonderful… Rose Music Hall is hosting Candy Cane Crib and we can’t wait to see what Rose Park looks like with their magic touch! 

The most wonderful time of the year just got even more wonderful… Rose Music Hall is hosting Candy Cane Crib and we can’t wait to see what Rose Park looks like with their magic touch! 

Kicking things off on First Friday, December 2  at 5pm will be a Curations573 Holiday Market in the Rose Music Hall parking lot so you can cross Christmas shopping off your to-do list. Cosmo from Y107 will help everyone get in the spirit as the MC for the Candy Cane Crib lighting ceremony at 6:30pm ! Plus– music by The Fried Crawdaddies, food by Angelina’s Tacos, appearances by Truman the Tiger, Santa Claus, and more. You don’t want to miss this event….see you there.

News Update: North Village Art Walk

November’s First Friday introduced three new art installations in the North Village Arts District. This finishes up the Art Walk installations for this year. Bring your friends and family down to the village to explore the exciting 15 Art Walk locations and enjoy our studios, galleries, live music, food, and fun!

 

New! Music Row on Park Avenue on the fencing of Boone County Lumber

It’s hundreds of feet of artwork on mesh panels by Laura Pintel, John Fennell, Sawyer Wade, Mike Sleadd, Josh Runnels, Asia Long, Wildy Self, Lisa Bartlett, Tootie Burns, Shannon Webster, Sharyn Hyatt, Luana Fields, and Kate Gray.  See photos from the reception celebration!

First Friday

NVAD hosts a free art crawl on the first Friday of each month from 6 -9pm. Galleries, shops, and businesses will be open and hosting music, art demonstrations, activities, refreshments, and much more. Join us for this family-friendly event.

Mid Missouri is fortunate to have a weekly radio program focused on visual art, music, literature, and more. Speaking of the Arts hosted by Diana Moxon the former Executive Director of the Columbia Art League interviews artmakers and explores all aspects of creative expression. 

Speaking of the Arts can be heard Thursdays on 89.5 KOPN
from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Speaking of the Arts is mid-Missouri’s only in-depth weekly arts show. Each week show host Diana Moxon talks with different arts makers about the theatre, literature, fine arts, film, and music happenings they create, and takes a peek behind the scenes at their inspirations, motivations, history and knowledge of particular plays, books, artworks and compositions.
