North Village Art Walk is a Sculpture & Art Walk in Columbia, Missouri
The mission of the North Village Arts District (NVAD) is to enrich the quality of life in the Columbia Missouri area by providing an inspirational civic gathering place where regional, national, and international cultural activities illuminate, educate, and entertain. The North Village Arts District will celebrate the diversity of Columbia by offering an array of affordable cultural opportunities designed to appeal to and be accessible to all.
It has been a long-term goal of the North Village Arts District to add public art and interactive art opportunities to our area. We have identified multiple locations, and willing property owners for placement of sculptures, murals, and art installations in the NVAD footprint. Additionally, there are some open spaces that could be improved to create performance areas for pop-up theatre, dance, and music, as well as outdoor classroom spaces. Our hope is to create 10-15 locations for local and regional artists to collaborate with NVAD for public art offerings.
